The County Clerk ’s office is an office that touches everyone’s life and has since 1848.
We keep and maintain Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, Marriage
licenses and Assumed Name Certificates. The office also records every
real estate and land transaction. In addition, we file and maintain the
records of the Commissioners' Court, two County Courts at Law and the courts
for Probate, Mental Illness, and Juvenile cases. An efficient, well run
office is vital to the citizen’s of Kaufman County and the court.
The County Clerk must be a seasoned administrator with expertise in the areas of strategic
planning, case flow management, information systems management, records
management, human resource management, program evaluation, financial
management and public relations.
We strive to use teamwork, technology and planning to improve our services,
increase the accessibility of the records, and prioritize preservation
efforts. Since 2000, by focusing on our goals, we are able to tout many
firsts, have a long list of accomplishments and have received several awards.
